Therapeutic Services for Attachment and Trauma

We believe that individuals and families thrive when time is taken to understand and respond to their needs. Our aim is to provide therapeutic services that help create lasting therapeutic change .

Creative Pathways is a growing team of creative therapists and practitioners.

Our passion and therapeutic services are mostly for children and young people in care and adoption, who are impacted by trauma and attachment difficulties. We also provide support for education funded projects and therapy for self funding clients (not in care or adoption). We provide a holistic, creative and integrated approach to support the needs of the families and professionals we work with.

We specialise in working with attachment and trauma, underpinning our work with current research and approaches to repair attachments and heal from trauma. We inform and view our work through this lens including Attachment Focused Therapy by John Bowlby, the work of Kim Golding, Trauma Focused Creative Therapies, EMDR, the Neuro-Sequential Model of Therapeutics by Dr Bruce Perry, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) by Daniel Hughes, Polyvagal Theory by Stephen Porges and the work of Deb Dana (to name a few)

Are you who we are looking for?

We value a multi-disciplinary team and are looking for qualified therapists and professionals to join our service.  We welcome interest from creative arts therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and those trained in DDP, theraplay, life story work, sensory, attachment and EMDR.

Our therapeutic services involve assessment, intervention and therapeutic support including therapy, psychoeducation, therapeutic parenting, dyadic work (with the care-giver and child), consultation, training, supervision and workshops. We work with families, individuals, education providers, residential homes and voluntary services.

We are looking for driven individuals that think and work holistically and systemically. The children and families we work with have experienced difficulties in attachment and developmental trauma. The work requires compassionate deep thinking for their complex needs. Our ideal therapist will be highly motivated, pro-active, passionate to share their skills and knowledge, and be willing to engage in developing further in our method to therapy and intervention.

As a freelance therapist you will work with a variety of clients, many with complex cases of developmental trauma, this will involve you having to draw on your creative energy to find new and imaginative ways to support children, families and the network around them.

You will have some experience of working with children/young people and their families and experience of working within the area of attachment and trauma. Here at Creative Pathways we are also willing to support therapists who may need further ongoing support and training to offer a fully integrative therapeutic approach.
